wastegate actuator

Can you hook the wastegate actuator up to any vacume source, or does it have to be connected to fitting on the turbo

you can hook it up to either the nipple on the compressor housing, or onto anywhere on the charge pipes... after the intercooler is best thus you can be sure of the boost the engine is seeing, not what the turbo is putting out

For a bit quicker spool you can go directly to your intake manifold.

I agree you dont want this connected to the turbo if you have alot of boost tubing and an intercooler.. The closer to the valves the more accurate the reading.
