wastegate on a 2G dsm T-25

Default wastegate on a 2G dsm T-25

what are the wastegates on these turbo set at? i know stock boost on the cars is about 11 lbs... but i've heard that the waste gates are set to 8lbs..so they run lower boost when cold( and once the car warms up a soleniod or somehting of sorts allows them to run 11lbs)... is this true?? thanks

wastegate is 7-8psi and the DSM solinoid makes them run about 13psi.

So yes, the stuff you heard is pretty much true.

BULLSHIT mine runs at 11 PSI on stock wastegate with no modifications to it. YOU NEED TO LENGTHEN THE ACTUATOR ARM IF YOU HAVE STOCK INTERNALS!

I bent the f*ck out of the wastegate with a pry bar and now I'm running 8psi solid on my 2nd gen T25.

I meant without adjusting the arm. Like the way it is set coming off the DSM.

no adjustment whatsoever runs 10.73 psi on my car at like 400 rpm with 70% throttle. i havn't taken it to the floor yet

Then someone else must have changed it before you got it. The DSM wastegate is only 7-8psi without the use of the solinoid that DSMs have the raises the boost via the ECM. My stealth is the same way.

If you take the restrictor outta the dsms solinoid you can get a little more boost sometimes.

I'm running a 2nd gen T25 on a 4AG, which boosts up to 15-16 PSI. I connected the turbo nipple straight to the wastgate actuator.

My high boost could be due to the fact that I ported the turbine inlet to match the 7cm flange, and ported out the O2 housing to match the 2.5" downpipe- probably getting some boost creep. No biggie since I'm running 8.0:1 C/R (4AGZE block).
