walbro 255 standard or hp?
apparently there are 2 types of the 255, a standard version and a high pressure version. which would be reccomended for a goal of 300whp using a stock fuel rail and fpr?

Re: walbro 255 standard or hp?
some people say the high pressure creeps with the stock regulator, some people say use the high pressure with a fmu, some people sweer that high pressure is better and will support more horse power :P

Re: walbro 255 standard or hp?

im pretty sure the standard one is referenced as the LP (low pressure one) versus the HP (high pressure). i know i've heard from a few people that the lp is preferred in a civic. but i guess i can't comment on WHY they said that. might have somethin to do with what other fuel parts they had. stock fpr maybe?

Re: walbro 255 standard or hp?
there is like a 10 dollar price difference, i just dont want to get the hp and then have to get a fpr along with it

Re: walbro 255 standard or hp?
Home people also say that the 255 is more than overkill regardless of which version you choose. FYI the 190 is fine for 300~400 hp and the 255 is good for 500~750 hp. Do you understand how to calculate fuel for your goal? If so then do it and you'll see that I'm right.

Re: walbro 255 standard or hp?
heres a flow chart http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/...lbro_chart.gif
211lph is about 55 gallons so it looks like the standard would be ok, because i wouldnt need that much your right, and the fuel pressure is still above stock |
