do a block fill, cheap and seams to work good

 

with devcon liquid alluminum?

 

yup, did mine a couple of weeks ago, even got a box of it left, I bought 2 and it only took 1. lock tie liquid alluminum, doesnt need to be put in the oven. 50 shiped

 

i dont know ..i'll have to look into it..i shoulda made devcon a option

 

im a fan of the posting even though i havent tried either option. its cheap, easy, and will do a lot more than nothing at all

 

i agree but i have a few friends with guards and they seem to be doing fine i think im going to have a block guard welded in ...my friends had the guard actually welded not at deck height they had it welded 1/2" below deck height so coolant can flow above and below the guard itself but its still funtional...

im pretty sure thats what he was trying to explain..but then again i may have misunderstood him

 

a little lower in the coolant area is probobly a good idea since when the piston has the most sideload on the cylinder it is half way down its stroke (or close to that area, i dont know exactly. lol)

 

when I did my block fill I left a gap at the top for coolant aswell

 

thats what im going to do then..the next pay im ordering 1 fom tunertoys

 

Block guard/posting/filling = such a bad idea
