Then let it sit for like 5 minutes then unhooked the lines. Some freon came out but it wasn't so bad. No reason to run. Its a good high too

that release valve you talk about is actually just a schrader valve. get a valve stem core remover and take the one out of the high side and the low side. or be a cool guy and go to HF and get you a vacuum box and a set of gauges for 120 bucks
