i had to block the lower hole (jb welding) shut in order to get it to run correctly at all. Did you do this? Also, i used a blockoff plate from my buddies aftermarket tb on my stock b series one. (the stock fiv wouldnt clear the thermostat housing) i was thinking that because the hole in the throttle body was smaller than the hole in the manifold, it was gonna leak from around there.

i see... i'll check to see if the o ring is still under the map sensor. I believe it is. Should i just buy a 75m one and be done with it, or do you think the leak is from somewhere else? i guess its gonna be hard for you to tell though

everything on the throttle body is pretty much jb welded shut instead of the top port on the inside. when i put my thumb over this one, the engine stalls. could low vac be caused by anything else besides a vacuum leak? weak ignition?(motor is still pretty new so i dont think its the rings)

Your cam and your ignition timing can both effect your vac at idle. IM wondering if its not that 75mm hole your bolting your 60mm throttle body to.

good way to check for leaks is to get a camping bottle of propane and attach a **** and hose to it. Then spray the propane around your intake, and if you idle goes up you can figure out where the leak is

The plenulum is going to drop the vaccume at idle because of the loss of velocity at low RPM's. It seems a little low though. Are you running big cams? If so, just check for leaks and other than that call it a day. spray everything with break cleaner and it'll bogg if it sucks some in at a leak. Just keep sprayin while it idles. use a whole can.

ignition timing is correct at 16*, and i just put a new t belt on (its in time). I did hear somewhere though that for every .040" of milling, you need to advance the cam timing by 3-4* Anyone know if that is true?

btw, i used starting fluid around the intake to check for leaks
