so i got a sweet deal on a venom intake manifold, big sheetmetal one Im using an integra 60mm tb with the bottom hole jb welded shut (wouldnt run at all with it open ) Problem is, its only pulling 14" at idle (1000 rpm) with no iacv or fitv or whatever the ---- that thing is. It runs fine everywhere but idle. Timing belt is on correctly, and there are no vac leaks anywhere. Is it just not going to make as much vacuum because of the size of the plenum??

10" at 750. Just started idling at that speed today after i revamped the exhaust. Do you think i should be using a 75mm throttle body because of the 75mm hole in the intake manifold? How else would i test for a vac leak? I already used starting fluid and soapy water.

 

funny thing i had a problem with on mine was the throttle body. everything seemed normal but i could not see more vacuum than 14". Turned out that the o-ring under the map sensor was missing. check that.

 

was yours a d series or b series? (throttle body)
