Default Valves of BOV's

Hey,

Noob here. Searched the forum and didn't find anything. I apologize if I missed it.

Does anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of the types of valves on BOV's? I know there are Pistons and Diaphrams. There are also push and pull types. Which is the best for low boost setups say 5-10 psi?

I'm using a $50 Ebay Special.

Brass Piston, Pull Style. At 8psi It works great, Fast Responce and nice and loud but not too loud.

BTW: I had to put in a lighter spring, no biggy, 25 cents or so.

I'm using a Greddy type-S, it was a bitch at low psi levels so I just turned up the boost and now it works fine

I have a turbosmart SuperSonic... now, I am wondering... you can see a piston go up when it blows off, is that piston or push... lol anyways it sounds great, sounds good at 7psi, great at 15 and at 22 it goes something like this:

Ebay BOV:?

Most people hate them!! Say they wasted 50 bucks

I hated my compressor surge. so instead of wasting time looking for a DSM or other bov I took 5 min, drove to the hardware store, paid 50 cents for a spring, and now have a nice sound/looking BOV that have a REAL simple mounting flange.

Their made of plastic and can't handle anything over 10psi or so. No sure how well they work though.
