Vacuum Sources?
i finally have purchased all my turbo parts, except a few small things. but, i need help with where all the vacuum sources are. first, where does the vacuum off the bov go? and, in my wastgate's instructions it says the top port may be plugged with a filtered vent or connected to the air intake system after the filter. and the bootom port maybe connected to any convenient manifold pressure source, such as compressor discharge or intake manifold plenum, but this line shall not be tee'd for any other function. by the way this is a turbonetics evolution wastegate. so what goes where and i do have a manual boost controller so where does this tee at and where does my boost gauge tee in at? and, i am using an fmu right now so the vacuum off that is is tee'd with the fpr. heellp!

look for 2 5/16" id rubber hoses comming from the top of the manifold. one's for the pcv and the other for the charcoal emissions cannister filter. buy some 5/16" to 1/4" plastic Ts' and T off those sources. connect the WG to the PCV and the boost gauge and BOV to the charcoal emissions filter. use the black rubber vaccuume hoses from the auto parts, not the ricey colored ones, they suck and slip off. clamp down the hoses w/small hose clamps.

the pcv is under the fuel rail and the charcoal emissions is mounted on the firewall. just look for 2 larger hoses comming outta the intake manifold. start up your car and disconnect one of those hosses while the car is running so you can see that there's vaccuume in it. it won't mess anything up.

all you need are 2 plastic Ts', much easier and less expensive then a manifold. also, your wastegate and BOV lines will be atleast 2 1/2' shorter if you T off the intake manifold then at the brake booster.
