where would be the best place install a vacuum distribution block?

Probably off the brake master cylinder hose.

Drill your intake manifold and tap it there

what the hell? are you crazy? hell no! I sure hope you are joking , the that I bought it from said I shouldn't put inline with the brake booster but I think thats where most put it.
