Default Vacume and boost fitting on deltagate??

I have a turbonetics delta gate and it has a vacume fitting on the top and a fitting marked boost on the side...I don't understand this. I thaught a wastegate just needed a vacume fitting to operate. What is that boost fittning for on the side??

The one marked "Boost" gets hooked to your intake manifold or somewhere after the intercooler(if you have one). this tells the wastegate when to open based on "boost"

I never have hooked up the "Vacuum" I believe it is used for a boost controller. If you are just using the wastegate by it's self DO NOT use the vacuum fitting.

i got the same wastegate, i hooked up the boost in my charge pipe next to my intercooler, and i also hooked up the vaccum line on top of my intake manifold.

i adjust the psi from the screw on top, and it has an 8psi spring. i think you adjust the boost if you have a boost controller with tapping the boost line *if you have some sort of boost controller*. not sure why typert said do not use the vaccum fitting, cuz if it dont have pressure pushing the valve down during boost, it will just open up and you wont get your spring's psi. ive tested that. if i dont use the vaccum line, i only get like 4-5 psi cuz the boost line pushes up on the valve, and theres not force pushing down on the vaccum fitting.

So...I would use both of them if I was just running the wastegate. And if I was using a boost controller I would hook it up to the vacume fitting...right? Would I be ok if I hooked up the boost fitting to the nipple on the turbo housing and the vacume to the intake manifold, running just the wastegate?

Also, I was just about to ask if I could adjust the psi with the screw on the top of the wastegate. I have a 7psi spring and I would like to run 8 or mabye 9psi.
