Default Vaccum/Boost

Im having a problem with my boost, I just got the whole turbo (preclipse) up and im not reading boost at all...I moved the vaccum line up between the FMU and the manifold, which alot of forums say to do...and I had to hook my wastegate actautor vacuum line after the intercooler, I had it on the manifold but still nothing.... what could I do to read the boost cause Ive taken the car out and it feels like its boostin enough since the BOV works...?

'reading' boost as in your boost gauge is just sitting at 0 at WOT?
Your Q' isnt very clear.

with the throttle open wide I read no boost, just vacuum still but I feel the boost and Im running pretty rich for now since I have a 12:1 FMU, im getting a b&m fuel pressure regulator tomorrow though, im just not sure why its still not reading anything on the boost gauge, all the lines are hooked without leaks and its between the reg. and mani.,,,, would the vacuum line from the actuator be any problem if its on the charge pipe before the Tb?

Any reason why the WG line isn't hooked to the turbo nipple? The BOV to any source of vaccum and the gauge to any source. I'm a little confused, too.

pretty soon you won't be able to "read", or feel it boosting if you keep that FPR in there

Alright I just redid the whole setup, I have the internal wastegate actuator vacuum to the compressor housing, the BOV t'd between the fmu, manifold and fuel prssure regulator as well as the boost gauge. The problem is that my boost gauge wont read the boost, only vaccum, even when I have WOT, also I noticed the wastegate actuator arm doesnt move when I open and let off throttle...I made the arm on the actuator adjustable to make lower boost, which made it slightly longer and the wastegate flapper stays open a little little bit now since that but I still dnever see it move.. could that be the problem?...also, is the BOV suppose to always have some air creeping out, I have a 1st gen dsm one and it hisses when in idle

BOV opens sensing vacuum = idle it's open. COULD, you have a boost leak? But yet you feel boost. Hmmm, the internal WG flapper could be fixed (should really) to be closed ALL the time until you hit full boost. Having it open a little bit makes a difference. Not all the pressure is getting to the turbine.

Ive read on some forums that with the flapper open a little bit youll get boost creep... and I havent really redlined my car yet to get the boost all the way up, but its been close im just wondering since I havent seen it moving, if its still a aproblem should I resort to a carb spring for the flapper since the stock actuator is set at 8 pounds of boost

I had a similar problem with my accord and the boost guage only reading vacuum but it was because the hose leading to the guage had a pinch in it. Freeded up the pinch and it has read boost since.
