Default V band turbo sizing.

Guys I purchased a Ching chong meow turbo off a friend today for $40 and it's brand new and still in a sealed vacumme bag with bubble wrap. It's an EBAY T70 with a T04E exhaust housing from what I can see through the bag with a A/R of 70. I took it out and it had zeor shaft play and spins freely and continues to spin for about 5 seconds after I spin it with the tips of my fingers. Oil cooled only , but I said what the Hay $40 isnt a bad deal to see what it will do. So here is the question it's got a VBand flange that measures 2.5 inches inner diameter that meets with the exhaust 's downpipe and a 3 in outer diameter"edge of the ring to the other edge". So do I order a 3" vband kit for the down pipe or the 2.5" for the tubular part of the pipe.. This is so ghetto. Looks like a Gt35r but on the gay side of viagra.

Please, send a link to the auction.

There's is one chinese "super T70" that is notorious for not working at all. it's been discussed here before.
I mean, it's even worse than the other chinese turbos and it's not a copy of anything so it cannot be "GARRETTIZED". In such case, MAybe you should just sell it back while it's still new. Then, if you really want to go ching chong, you could get a big t3/t4 or t4 replica from our friends at SSAC, that will, at least, be upgradeable in case of problem.

Yeah I figures its one of the ssautochrome units. I called my friend up and he said he got it from them. And I said I'd like to have my $40 back cause it's a POS. But he already BURNED it up"idiot". But the question on the Vband size still have not been answered.

The 2½ and 3" SSAC v clamps have the same size lip and the same size clamp around them. Only the size of the hole in the actual lip ring varies. So assuming their own turbos are compatible with their own v clamps (not sure) you could use either size on your turbo. they should both fit and the whole thing will perform exactly the same, that is: not good at all.
