Update on turboing the Zc

Re:Update .............Mounting the SMIC
This one took me a while to do. I had to keep cutting and fitting to get it right. It's not too hard but it's tedious.
I cut off most of the original brackets except the one close to the inside of the engine compartment and the top one. I also cut off a part of the inlet tube for clearance.
I notched part of the header panel to accommodate the outlet tube
and modified the top stock bracket and bolted it to the an existing hole under the headlight
I also had to trim the inside of the bumper to make it fit. Here are the rest of the pics:
Doesn't hang too low

Re:Update on turboing the Zc
The Tuner Toys fitting was no problem. It's just that on the Zc the oil cooler is in the way so if you want to use it you just have to be a little creative. I had originally bought some fittings from Z10 Motorsports
, part # Z10-6001 and Z10-6002 to tap into the oil punp for the feed instead of feeding from the back of the block, but there was some controversy about doing that so I elected to use the "oil light" area. I used the z10-6001 as an extention for the Tuner Toys fitting. I haven't tried it for leaks yet but if it does leak, I'll take ot from the oil pump area.
P.S. I think "Grimm" on this board made a post about that. Talk to him on that.

Re:Update on turboing the Zc
nice job with the custom mani. didn't i tell you i'd fit better that way? now your downpipe will just need to drop straight down, under the turbo a bit and go back. that'll make for a cool looking downpipe.
i'd like to mount mine like that, but with the std manifold it can't be done, the turbo ends up hitting on the block (14b anyways)
