Hey! those are mine! hehe.

The smaller one is a TO4 full 60-1 Im running on my truck with a 5.2l. The bigger one is from like a 12 liter cummins from a semi, I sold it on ebay a while back though.

Nice '66 Maly

650-700 HP NA with ease, traction will be and issue without the turbos.

Planning on TH400 with 3500 stall? 3.73 gear?

your right, a 454 is 7.1 liters not 8.1, i must have been high it happens.
thats the transmission setup i wanted exactly, do you think it would be enough?
im still up in the air as to what i want to do to put the power down.

im open to any suggestions.

also, if i ran a smaller one driving the larger, is it possible to go like half compund half sequential.

where the exhaust from the smaller of the two turbos goes to drive the exhaust turbine,
but the intake charge would run to the intercooler and not the air intake on the larger turbo?
because i dont need the insane compression that a diesel would but the extra exhaust driving the larger turbo couldnt hurt i dont think.

and should the smaller of the turbos wastegate dump into the atmosphere or into the exhaust going to the larger turbo?

that cummins turbo is huge, how did you come across it?

compounding turbos is running your compressor outlet into another turbos compressor inlet, to compound the boost. It's only used on diesel trucks to make retardedly high boost levels that you're not going to need on a gas engine :y

with a 3500 stall converter, i'm failing to see why a smaller turbo is needed. i would just throw one big one or two medium twins on there, one for each bank. but whatever, its a sweet ride either way until you try to stop or turn. we all know those cars were built for the drag race anyway.

KISS 1 per bank.

Turbo V8 guy checking in:

S400 is $580 new from Majestic. It will support all the power yuou want to make (Up to 1000) and the 7.4L (yes) 454 will spool it way easy. You will also most likely want to go with a taller gear with the turbo. 3000ish stall, 3.08 or 3.27 gear, 500-600 rwhp EASY all day with good street manners to boot.

FYI: 1 liter of displacement is ROUGHLY 60 cubic inches.
