turning down boost on 14b
i have an internally wastegated tdo5h 14b turbo. i was wondering if it is possible to get the wastegate to open at a lower boost level, say 5-6 psi. i want to start there and work my way up. is this possible, if so please help! also, i was wondering if anyone still sold the hf adapter plates with the counter sunk bolts for the 14b. thanks for the help in advance!
there are no write ups in the faqs section of this site pertaining to turning down the stock boost on a turbo. any help would be grately appreciated. also is it possible to mount the 14b on a zc engine using a hf manny and adapter with the compressor side of the turbo pointing to the passenger side of the car?
Rextec, I think your going to have to "suck it" on this one. Yes thats a boost controller but guess what? You cannot turn down the stock wastegate setting with it...only increase it.
There are ways to do this though. You can bend the actuator rod or cut it and thread each end and make it adjustable. Someone made a post with a diagram once but I've since lost it, sorry.

anyways i thought you could only turn up the boost up until the wastegates setting permits, and turn it down with the boost controller. so HA! j/k
