Default turbonetics wastegate

this question has been pondering me for a while , but then i forget about it, on my turbonetics deltagate wastegate, next to the adjustment screw on top is a threaded hole for a fitting, now i have the fitting on the side that has a boost line to it, but what should i do with the opening on top? i know with a boost control one line will go into it, but if you use it as is should you do anything with it? plug it or leave it be? will it affect performance in any way?

i got the same wastegate, i had both vaccum and boost connected, but it seemed to putt like a lawnmower, cuz it was releasing exhaust at idle. so i disconnected the vaccum, and left only boost connected, it solved my putt problem, but now i wont reach my max boost lol..im hoping maybe if i take off boost line as well, it will just work off the spring, and will reach the spring's 9psi setting.
