Just for educational purposes, does the size of the turbo suggest it was used for a diesel???

yeah kinda, no wastage, v band clamp connection, huge turbine housing, and it looks like it would come from an 600+cubic inch motor.... something that would be putting well over 1000ftlbs of torque anyway.

I have almost no real knowledge of turbos, just looks like some units I have seen on tractors ect....

Word... I was always into the bigg'ns... I'm thinking the guts aren't Turbonetics, due to the ribbed backing of the cool-side... I'm under the impression that Turbonetics always had anodized casings... Any knowledge of rebuild kits for these?

It's enroute, so I'll get the gist of how large it is when I get hands on it... Interested to see how it will work on the 1200cc bandit... Are there aftermarket integral wastegates for these older turbonetics snails?

bandit??? as in a suzuki bandit?

if so, that turbo is way to big. a good turbo to use is a k03 turbo out of an audi/vw 1.8t. they sell them on ebay new for ~400.00

ive used them on numerous turbo bike builds.
