Re: Turboing with a Carb?

Thats right on guys...
With regards to that Holly carb on my truck, We have all the jets and stuff for our Holly carb on out race car so that would be nice. From what I found a Holly 650DP is a 650cfm 4 barrel carb with a double pumper on it. Im pretty sure that would be wayyyy to much fuel for my engine (2L). Im sure you could re jet it and fix that a little but I would honestly prefer a 2 barrel carb. I know were talking about some pretty radical turbo stuff here but in all honestly fuel economy is still a very big concern with this vehical, turbo or not. If fuel wasnt so expencive I would be driving my 500ci cadillac lol.

Never the less is is possible to do the similar mods to a 350 CFM Two Barrel Carburetor? (just wonderin) or any other of their smaller street series carbs?

Turbo_Camaro: what have you done to moddify your webber carb. I know webber makes carbs for my turck so if their not to hard to make work then it would be easyer for me to go that way.

Will it work if I build an air tight box for the carb and leave the carb as is? I keep hearing about air tight boxes but I dont know if you still have to mod the carb? Anyone know?

Thanks guys, this is some neet stuff.
ps. Tubro_Camero your honda looks really neet, keep us up to date on how your projects coming ;)

The only thing I did was sealling all the axles.
And rejetted it. I'm still thinking of milling off the choke horn.
I still have to test if it all works.
There are some guys in Germany that used this carb on their Ford's in a similar way that i'm making it.
