Default Turbocharged With A/C

Sup, guys. So, I'm putting a turbo in my del sol. I have a tubular manifold and an ihi rhb5 turbo that i'm using. I want to keep the A/C, so this makes things a little more complicated/fun. So, I know it will work if I use that aluminum (or whatever it's made out of) heat resistant wrap on my a/c lines and get a thinner a/c condenser fan. I was thinking of just shaving down the condenser fan brackets a little bit, but that will still mean that the manifold is going to be right there next to the cheapo plastic fan blades.

So my question to you guys is, dooes anyone know anywhere I can buy an aftermarket condenser fan that's really thin & has metal fan blades. If not that, then any kinda car I can go to the junk yard and pull a condenser fan that will work on my car? I'm sure I could fab. some brackets for it, I just need it to be as thin as possible and have metal fan blades.

Thanks for the help.

-Rob

Yup, I'd relocate the fan to the outside (or in front) of the radiator, you can wire the fan to blow in reverse to pull air through the radiator. Thin and small fans can be bought on ebay for around 25-65 dollars. Autozone and places like Pepboys you will get retailed at.

Pep boys has those slim line fans.Ghetto-D is using on his radiator. They have a higher RPM motor too.I believe he said he paid like $80 for it.

Hmmm. .. . checked e-bay for "condenser fan" and I got a bunch of stupid junk. Just used ones from accords, talons. .. .and a few for household air conditioners LOL. Don't think that would work though
You know, I thought about relocating the fan in front of the condenser too. See, I want to see if I can get a thinner fan first, 'cuz if I mount it in front of the condenser, it's going to be REALLY close to the intercooler. .. I'm not sure if it will have clearance yet. .. but it will at least be close. That, and there is an a/c line that runs right in front of my condenser also that would get in the way. . . : ( Doesn't seem like there's any easy way around this.

Well, becasue ussually there just replacments for radiator fans, they dont really have condensor fan apps. Radiator fans work, and unless its a made to fit a certain car, its gonna have to be rigged on anyways.

just wire that ---- backwards and put it infront of the condensor. or, you could heat wrap your manifold and keep it in the stock location. i doubt the manifold is gonna be low enough to be infront of the fan.
