I decided to ceramic coat the piston faces. I ordered the materials tonight - hopefully have them by this upcoming saturday and will be coating them. Should add even more protection against detonation

I cant say i approve of HG comp ratio changes, but if you are going to, dont forget to account for the cam advance/retard that occurs when you move em up and down like that.
as for why i dont approve, no quench area anymore. quench only occurs at close tolerances, the closer the better. opening it out just a bit can ruin the effect. opening it out a lot makes it non existant, closing it up can help no end. still, thats the end of my rant on that. keep us posted :-) should be pretty sweet.
