turbo zc questions
I know the zc topic is getting old im sorry but im new to this and i dont wanna blow my block. I have a doch zc with a si tranny (for now) going into a civc standard hatch. So far i have a stage 3 clutch crower rods with king bearings and a 25 with a civic CX manifold. In the future i plan on running a pm6 chipped( if somone burns chips please pm me ) With 450's. The car is not daily driven.
1 how much boost can a pm7 pistons hold? Should i just go ahead and get a turbo piston and if so which comp?
2 Is the 25 too small for a zc? I wannt around 240 hp and i am going for 12.8 on slicks. Can somone recomend the right turbo for me so i have boost throught the powerband. Most zc's dont get more power over 6800
3 I hear t3 is the way to go but there are so many of them and i thinkt he .48/.60 is the one im looking for but which car does this turbo come out of. How about the volvo t3 or audi 63?
4 I dont have cash to get sleeves but i want to boost the car safley as much as possible until i get cash for sleeves. Are block gaurds the way to go?
Thanx for the help

Re:turbo zc questions
1. about 8-10 psi will be safe. with proper fuel management you can probably go a little higher. if you get pistons, i would go for something around 9:1. those rods you have are bulletproof.
2. the t25 will be a tease to that motor. i would think about going with something a little bigger. it would be good for your first turbo, will spool fast as hell and you will have awesome bottom end power, but you will loose it up top.
3. as said ^^^ i would start with something around a t25, then when you are ready to upgrade, go to the 48/60.
4. screw a block guard. with proper fuel management, you will be fine. talk to the moderator of this board, projekteg and he will be able to chip the right ecu for you.
fuel management is your friend. you can have all the right parts, but without fuel management, you are screwed, and will get no where. -kinda like if you have the hottest chic, but cant ---- her right, you will get nothing out of her. -good comparison.
edit: take a look at these. they are found under the turbo projects on the front page, also check out the FAQ.-in all of the boards to- www.homemadeturbo.com

and check out those links I posted above.
also, i think if you look in the stickeys in the forced induction sectin, (this section) it will tell you turbo's smallest to largest. take a pick!
even your 14b dies wow that was my next plan. Can somone name a trubo that wont blow my cyl but will hold though the power band?

Re:turbo zc questions
ok those linnks answered some things but i have seen those a while ago. I dont wanna do block posting. What turbos have the trim of .48/.60 and which cars do they come out of? Will my block be able to handle a .48/.60. On those links they used a rhb5 and those suck just like a t25 and 14b.

Anyway a little update i got forged internals running forged 8:1 pistons
so now what i want to know is this how much do you expect to pay for a .48/.60
also i can afford more than 300 on a turbo itself so i was going to throw a .42/.48 on my zc for now. Should i do that or just save for the 60
I figure the 42/48 will do good since im running a short *** hf manifold so it might spool faster and hold through the power band. what should i do?
