This turbo on a Vitara setup? Or one like it?

https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=83296.0

I know it may be an overkill, but I'm open to all suggestions!

I have just built me a z6 with Eagles rods, YCP 75mm pistons, ARP head bolts, running a 6 puck sprung AM1 stage 2 clutch.

Before the build, I was rocking the hf mani, adaptor plate, t25, fmic, WRX BOV, with some rx7 460cc injectors.

Now with the new motor, I'm planing on using the old stuff I have minus the HF/T25 with a new mani and turbo.. Possibly one like above mentioned or similar plus or minus the size, but I am all ears.

Oh and I'm dying to join the 400 HP club... so help me get there!

It will prolly be to much lag, my buddy has a 60/63 xs power turbo on a b18a and he doesn't get full boost till ~4.5 - 5k rpm. This turbo also looks bigger than his, atleast the cold side looks bigger. Plus spend 250 on a good turbo that if the oil seals go out, you can go to turbocity or somewhere and rebuild it. for ~425 bucks you can get a nice super 60 turbo from a turbo dodge from one of the sponsors of this site.

That's my 2 cents.

Get a manifold with paired runners and it will help spool up a good bit. Only thing I would be worried about is going through the trouble to make the proper turbo manifold for an ssautochrome turbo.

Not sure it will help much, but here is a dyno of a 1.8l toyota 3tc (old pushrod motor) running that turbo at 25psi. This was on a old stock cast manifold that doesn't flow really great.

Go get a t3/t4 50trim. It will put you in the 400hp range with some race gas >:D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but full boost at 4.5k isn't that bad.. or am I wrong? The stock redline on my z6 looks like 7.2k rpm. I get full boost on my t25 at around 3k or lower.

What are paired runners? And how does it help the spool up process better than say, other manifolds? And SSauto, XS Power, or what ever turbo I choose, why would there be any different in fitment.. as long as they have the standard t3 flange, I could use any one right?

The last guy on here and ht that hit 10 seconds in the qtr mile was boosting 28-29 lbs and was pushing around 430hp also. I wonder what turbo he used. From what I heard, it was one right off the backyard of Jackie Chans apartment also.

So the seller is welling to meet my low balling offer... What else you guys got for me before I make the purchase?

I have a friend who has an ssauto (this one that I'm looking into is an XS Power, if it's any different) 57 trim making real good power running for a while now on his a6/y8... And I've heard that an oil restrictor is key to a turbo's life expectancy no matter the make! True? Fill me in...
