Default is this turbo too big?

I recently acquired this schwitzer turbo from a certain member on here and was wondering if it is too big for my application? I also got one of everyone's favorite manifolds and a tial knockoff :P I plan on using this on a stock internal y7 or z6

ps sorry for the shitastic pics my good camera is lost

I was thinking of doing that will it help enough to get it spooling on a puny 1.6l? I know there will still be lag but i consider that traction control :P
