just picked up a nice winter beater. a 87 justy 4x4 hatch 3cyl carbed w/85k on the clock. but i badly want to boost this turd. im thinking a 14b or t25 would be more than enough and a small smic. but since its carbed i wont need a standalone. i can just run a msd with boost retard. now does anybody have any idea where i can find any parts for this turd? anybody up to fabbing a mani for a 3cyl turbo.......or an adapter plate

I am all for doing different ---- and not being a sheep, but I say stay away from that one.

 

a mate of mine has one, and what we came up with was to use Megasquirt for fuel and timing. make an adapter plate where the carb goes and put 1 injector for a tbi type setup. we were going to use a small *** turbo also. we didnt follow through, but those are the ideas, or if you can weld, make a little steel intake manifold. those cars are pretty damn cool. except my friends was only FWD, we wanted a fun justy just because they came turby already.

 

What about finding a stock suby turbo setup?I thought some of those were turbo from the factory?If not the turbo from a 3cyl Sprint might work well.

ihi rhb32 from a turbo sprint would spool nice. maybe you could convert the carb to blow through? or set it up as draw through?

 

yea i may take you up on that offer hotrex coz i sold my welder. but im unsure of how to go about doing the intake i don't think there was a turbo justy stock. i think maybe a suzuki swift came turbo in Jp. but i heard they also have them in puerto rico. but force inducting a carbed car seems hard. btw the wheels are ------ 12" steelies! some 15" honda rims would look like 22" dubs on it. im gonna be a ricer and put Sti badges on it lol just coz i think its funny

 

the Swift GTi was a 1.3l DOHC 4cyl, here and japan.


i say get an injector controller like Jeff has on the Kia and use an MSD boost retard.

they did, the Fun Justy came turbo 4x4 with a switch to select 2w or 4w, this is going from teh info given to me by the owner. but the swift swap sounds nice to.
