Re: turbo on a stock motor???
Ok first of all idk much about these talons i bought the car for 30 bucks just to transfer the title it has no rust at all and only 76xxx miles... i also have 2 other boosted cars so it will get done (b18b1 crx) (turbo Legacy basicly stock exsept for the fmic, blv homemade exhaust mani and wategate)....so ---- off i maybe only 17 but i know some stuff about cars and for the swap a b18 motor just the motor in the bone yeard around here is 750.00 plus the old one and i thought i was gonna need a tranny for it when the blots broke and that would have been 400 plus the old one so swaping it would cost me alot....if u can get me a fwd 2.0 turbo motor for 100 to 200 bucks ill pay u 300 for it but idk if my tranny will fit on it ...but besides the jeroffs on here some told me what i was thinkin would work.......

Re: turbo on a stock motor???
Go back to middle school and learn how to spell and use proper grammer so people know wtf you're saying and then go get a rope. If you're such a baller 17 year-old with 2 turbo cars; why the hell are you even considering boosting one of the shitiest cars ever sold in the U.S.? Any motor will swap into any car for the most part, but you need to have all sorts of custom ---- made and pay tons of $. If you're looking for a cheap project your 1.8L DSM is NOT it. The rods are pencil thin and you're saying no engine management, so if by some stroke of God you got a turbo bolted to it and actually had some forced induction the motor would last, oh, 14.37 seconds. Quit wasting everyone's time and go play with your other alleged turbo cars

Re: turbo on a stock motor???
What it all boils down to is that VERY few dsm'ers have built a 1.8l dsm that actually made any power. The heads are a joke, the bottom end is weak, and if you somehow did manage to pull any decent power out of it, your still pulling around a 2850lb FWD car with a tranny that was designed for a 2300lb car. If you did somehow manage to boost it properly, dont expect it to be any faster than a stock dsm.
Drive that ------- car or sell it or waste your time boosting it and getting out run by yugos and ----. whatever. Nobody really cares. :P
