We're just starting to use auto turbos on snowmobiles instead of Aerochargers - You guys know a lot more about these than we do - Why do I get oil foamin in my oil tank?

him having an oil tank..id say yes its dry sump...the only thing ive ever seen cause airation in an oil tank is some kind of restriction. do you have your lines above the oil level or below? if they are above pull the cap and see which line is airating the oil and go from there. my best bet is too much oil pressure for the size line you are running and youre shooting it into the tank above the oil level or some other kind of restriction. what are the lines running into the tank comming from?

Its a two stroke.... that's his two stroke oil that he's burning.... so its a turbo two stroke?? what kind of machine is it??

I would assume that the bubbles in your oil tank have nothing to do with the turbo but more to do with the oil splashing around when your riding.

Post more pics of your setup and we can better diagnose.

its a rev, I would think the pump would be the most likely cause of air'd up oil. What are you useing for the pump, tank, ect. We need more specs/pics to help you. I was thinking of running a turbo setup on my vertical escape/pro-x sled but decided to start with a fuelie cat when/if I do but That would be for next winter .

How do you get oil pressure to the turbo?? On a four stroke we use the engine oil pressure but on a two stroke you can't really do that because there isn't any kind of engine oil pressure. Just what is produced by the oil injection pump which wouldn't be enough for a turbo, plus its the wrong kind of oil. Too thin.

most people use a electric pump and a tank. Is your pump mounted below the bottem of the tank?

i have customers who tried everything to use t3 and t3-t4 turbos on showmobiles with constant oil problems but i have many customers who got great results with gt BB turbos, notably on the yamaha rx1, probably they're easier to install because they require less oil.
