Default Turbo s10?

Anyone ever turbo a 2nd gen s10 or sonoma?

i've been reading a lot about boosting the 2.2 litre.... the head flows like ***, it ony revs low and the exhaust ports are as small if not smaller than a d-series honda.....

i was thinking a 14b (since i can get one super cheap) dsm sidemount, mounted in teh engine bay subaru style and a FMU....

whats peoples opinions of this, for a manifold i planed on using the stock exhaust manifold and go an elephant style U turn to route the exhaust back into teh engine bay and into a turbo

the u turn is probly your best idea.

as for the 14b im sure it will be fine since the s-10 motor only goes to like 5500ish. accually do the project FOLLOW though get it done. be sure to make some kinda hood scoop so the intercooler can get air and dosent get heat soaked

I think I may do it, somones giving me a 14b on a trade for 2 17" tires and the remote mount u turn thing will be super easy to make outta canadian tire bends..... all i'll really be buying is a sidemount intercooler (like 20 bucks max) a BOV, and a FMU

I think it would be cool, the first one in my area, i gotta make sure to do this before the end of winter

They did, but I can't find it. The search function seems to be on the fritz.

I am trying to pick up things local from my sme of the DSM and VW guys I know, you can always find stuff cheap from those stock turbo folk

I've been reading that with the stock fuel system for the sonoma cant handle more that 90psi, so in order to run am FMU I will have to change teh fuel pump...... something about the purge valve or some ---- opens at 90psi on teh stock fuel system.... thats gay huh?

I think I could hit a A/F of about 13 with the 14b pumping 8 pounds and an FMU set up.... anyone think this will be safe as long as I run some water/meth injection

for timing I plan to put the intake air temp sensor in the charge piping.... when it sees hotter air it pulls more timing
