Default turbo rebuild question

Hey all. I'm in the process of rebuilding an t3 turbo(TB0326). I'm just having a problem with the piston ring that goes in between the oil sheild(dog dish) and the exhaust turbine. There are two slots that it looks like it snaps into but i cant remember which one it was on when i took it apart i have looked at diagrams and did a search on this site but could not find an answer. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are talking about the one that actually goes on the shaft, its the one closest to the wheel
