Default Turbo not Spoolin

Having issues with turbo spoolin' up. When I start the car in the morning, car spools up. Once I "punch it" and get to around 5200 RPM....unable to boost. I can shut the car off for a little while and same thing happens. I checked vacuum lines and all is connected. Any ideas...?

huh? ur wastegate is set to soft and opens fast as ---- therefore giving u no boost? tighten that bitch up a bit and go test it... or weld it shut and get an external... internal gates suck =x unreliable and boost always creeps

some enginges are to efficent for the turbo like a t25 on a b18, they get boost and then loose it, i thought maybe he had a turbo that couldnt keep with the engine and wasnt allowing it to spool, or you know there could be many other problemss too like boost leaks, blown gasket, bad turbo, wastegate, etc.....

i agree but i got a turbo similiar to the t25 on my b18 and the bitch rips all the way til redline. yeah it can be many other problems but from the sound of it. if it was leaking it would boost then fall off a few psi. if the wastegate is to loose or the wastegate its self is fucked up... it'll hold boost til it opens, if its fucked up and opens all the way like his is doing, boost will generate to a point then open ALL THE WAY creating zero boost.

when you floor it and the boost drops, does it go right to zero or does it go back into vaccume?
