Default turbo kit on...somethings not right

ok i got my turbo kit on...as did the mpfi swap.. the car idles low like 600rpms. and when i hit about 3k it just bogs out. like loses power and wont go any higher. i have the walbro 255, stock injectors and an fmu. any suggestions as to how to make this thing run until i get my ecu chippable?

I think he's talking about getting it socketed?

Do you have any gauges? Are you sure the FMU is hooked up right?

Sounds like you are running WAY rich and bogging the engine out...whats your fuel pressure set at?

He could also be running way lean. If the FMU is working properly then it is probably running too rich.

i've heard of this happening with FMU setups before,

dont remember the exact cause or remedy,

but it had to do with the FMU either malfunctioning, or not being hooked up right.. and yes.. running the car rich as a bich.

check your plugs,
are they thoroughly coated in black carbon?

i have the fmu hooked up right i think..top is a vac line, side nipple has a hose coming in from the fpr and the bottom one goes to the fuel return? is that right?

i just sold the fmu on ebay and bought some 450s and a 91 pm6 ecu. my friend understands that uerbdata stuff really well and is going to help me make a map that will work with my car. i think thats the best way to go instead of trying to deal with taht damn fmu. think this is a good idea
