I think it was $16 or so... it's a foam filter so it's not the best, but it fits and filters the air better than a screen so I don't care...

Personally, I have no idea. Of course you could say 'the air is just gonna get hot anyways', but would it get just as hot as usual, or would the temp it increases to be dependent on the temp it is when it's sucked in the filter?

I think it would help, as long as it didn't cause much restriction. I've been wanting to make a little intake to have someplace to hook up a bung for my PCV. I thought about making it CAI style, 90deg up, 180 down into the wheel well.

Your post made me search HT and I found this:

I am going to do this. Much better idea. O0

That's freakin sweet!

I have been thinking about how I can do some sort of turbo intake as well... for the same reason, I want to do a slashcut to help evacuate my crankcase pressure... right now I am bypassing my PCV valve and venting into the atmosphere... which really stinks!

I smell like fumes every time I drive my car! LoL..

It looks like a lot of work to weld a pipe through my frame like above... are there any other options for us with our compressor on the driver's side? I've thought about doing a 90 straight down but I don't think I have enough room for a bend and a coupler...
