Man I feel stoopid now, I actually paid good money for stainless sheet... 
I'm deff going to do this, then stuff my ceramic fluff under it. I was originally going to use SS wire + mesh to keep the ceramic on it, this is way better. I also have a great idea for exhaust heatsheilds, used SS cups!
BTW I just had a funny thought... 40 $0.50 ebay stainless cups + welder = $20 4" SS exhaust :1

Where's it mounted? The turbo DP is a V-Band flange so not bolted into the DP.
