Default turbo for gsr engine in a si

I put a gsr swap in my 99 civic si and stuck with the b16 head. I am wanting to piece together a turbo for it. It did have a vortech supercharger, so im not exactly new to boost, but i am new to turbochargers.
Im wondering what kind of turbo i should go with.
I did a search, and it seems that the precision sc50 is a good choice for b series motors....but i just want to know what options i have. I want to get everything goin for about 1800 is possible.
Thanks

How much boost do you want to run? How quickly do you want it to spool?

With that kind of a budget you'll want to stick to a smaller turbo type, though it is possible you could get a T3 turbo for pretty cheap and be able to spool 10 psi easily.

Its really up to that factor If you're running with the factory internals then you won't need anything bigger then even a TD04 type turbo (well maybe just a little bit bigger cause your engine displaces a little more then my SOHC).

But give me some more idea of what boost level your thinking. - BTW I'm biased towards Garrett turbos.

just get a garrett t3/t4, i have a 50 trim .48/.50 that will be more than enough for if all you want is 10-11 psi, and it will spool pretty quickly. the precisions are nice as hell, but also expensive as hell, if anything start with a garrett, then upgrade to a precision later on after you've recovered from what you spent on the kit to get going btw, that code we 'guessed' at for the radio was right
