Default turbo d15, INSTALLED with pics!

Well the time has come that ive got everything pretty much ready and i'm gonna start to install it. The date to start putting it on the car is this friday, and probably starting thursday night.... unless it snows a lot and i have to write an exam on friday instead.

BTW the car is a 92 civic, 4 door..... and the motor is a d15b7, which is a SOHC non-vtec

Heres some pics of the manifold, turbo and downpipe all set up. Its mounted to the piece of plywood i have mocked everything up on. Instead of going out in the cold to mock things, i just put measurements on the board and worked from there

Heres the intercooler that'll be on the car... G60 core, with end tanks i made myself, mostly built from real thick fiberglass boat matt, ABS and high temp epoxy... should handle the pressure... looks ugly as ---- cause i rubbed a epoxy paste over the whole end tanks when i was done just to clear up any pinhole leaks.... but function>form right?

heres the oil line, done cheapass style from the princess auto hydraulics section.... should be fine as long as i watch that its not gonna be laying up againt the manifold or anything

the BOV, which is a stock Bosch unit off a 1.8t, the pipe flange thing is aluminum, i made it up with those crazy aluminum welding rods that they sell at the RV and boat shows and stuff.... worked fine strong as ---- but i covered it with epoxy paste to be sure of small leaks

Heres what will take care of my fuel management, chipped PO6 ECU, which for non honda guys is the ecu from a 92-95 non-vtec civic, and 325cc high impendance injectors, which will work in the car without any added resistors. These injectors should be fine for about 150whp i'm going for

I have charge piping and a boost guage and all that ---- thats needed as well, just didnt bother to take pics of it. I'll take more pics when its installed.... havnt really worked out the numbers yet about how much its cost me... but i figure by the time its in the car running it'll be around $450 canadian

thats some definite hmt ---- right there, get it installed and take some pics.....the only problem i may see is that the oil drain is gonna be close to being too low, but other than that looks good! nice work on the ic

Ok over all it looks good; but a few things. First turbo looks a bit low. Second the oil lines, are you using a line of the block to a T fiding the to the turbo? Or is it a T fiding off the block then to the turbo? If it is the second way, it a big no no.

well, heres some updates with pics. Ive got the cold side charge piping complete, the vaccuum routing of everything all planned out, got a downpipe all finished, got a guage pod for my boost guage finished and installed, made a "home depot lip" that looks classy i think lol... heres some pics, and i'll explain more i guess lol

The cold side charge piping.... this is just the upper part i put on the car to give people an idea of what it'll be like. its made from 2" aluminum tube (one of my many broken sailboat masts), princessauto suction hose and an exhaust reducer

Heres the classy lip I put on the car for fun, I dont think it looks too bad for a piece of garden edging, and it follows in the gehtto fashion of the car...... who needs JDM anyways?

heres the boost guage and pod I'm rocking, made the pod myself real quick (like 30 mins quick) and mounted it up in the car.... its fancy too! 7 colours and turns on with the dash lights lol

To simplify the vaccuum situation, i picked up this small 2 port manifold from princess auto and put some fittings on it, I think it looks pretty fancy with the blue and all, probably gonna be the brightest part of the engine bay

And heres my "JDM" money shot.... rocking my alias plate and stock corners... since the hot glue that holds in my amber corners doesnt hold well in the cold weather lol

Got the downpipe finished, just need to lay a bead on it

2" crush bend FTL, but it works and the whole thing only cost me 8 bucks... gonna be running it open DP for a few days
