Default Turbo Coolant Fittings

Anyone know where i can get these? I have a t3 and i think the threads are M16x1.5. I dunno if thats exactly what they're called but its like a banjo bolt and another fitting with a barbed end. Thanks for any help.

If worse comes to worse, i'm sure you could probably get some kind of npt threaded fitting with a barbed end on it.

I cut my fancy metric bolt ---- with a pipe thread tap and then used npt fittings. I will never ---- around trying to find that ---- again for a cheap *** turbo.

Did you tap out the inside of the metric banjo bolt? Or did you tap out the housing itself? Guess it really doesn't matter if you get metal in the coolant passages. If it was the oil lines then i'd be scared.

I taped out the oil drain and coolant passages in the center section, flushed it out real good with clean solvent, blew it dry with compressed air and called it a day

The easiest (and most non-destructive) way to do this I've found is to simply go find a bolt that fits the hole. Go to your local auto parts store - the metric oil pan drain plug section almost ALWAYS has what you need. Bring your turbo with you and test fit 'em until you find the one you want.

Then just take that oil pan bolt, drill and tap it for 1/8" NPT (or 1/4" NPT if it's a really big bolt and 1/4" will fit) and just use a standard 1/8" NPT to AN, barb, or whatever other kind of fitting you need.

Works like a charm, has zero chance of contaminating the turbo with shavings, and is easily removable.

Alright thanks for the ideas guys.....I ended up finding two adapters in a package of fitting that came with my oil pressure gauge. They were 16x1.5 on the outside and 1/4npt on the inside. So i just got some cheap barbed fittings and went to town. Hopefully by the end of this week there'l be another turbo escort here.

i used brass fittings from the hardware store. just a regular with a barb for the front line, and a brass fitting with a 90 bend on the back, so it will bring it away from the block.
