turbo choice
Okay, my manifold is almost done and I'll be bolting up the turbo once again, but I'm debating about which turbo to use. I can stick with my t3 from a merkur which has a compressor ar of .60 or I can switch to a toyota mr2 ct-26. I'm not too familiar with these toyota turbos so can anyone help me out. Thanks. Oh yah, I'll be using an in line fuel pump and 5:1 fmu for fuel.

Re:turbo choice
Well on D-series and B-series, the Ct26 turbo is a bitch to use, since the o2 exhaust housing aims the downpipe directly at the block (if I remember right) now, you maybe able to use it since your putting this on a h22 correct? I think I saw your manifold, you aim the flange straight off right?
As far as the turbo being good for your engine, I dont see why not. People claim these turbos can produce 300hp.
And if you need someone to buy that meurker xr4ti turbo, let me know

Re:turbo choice
also look for 300z turbos from the 86-89 years, and GNX/turbo regal turbos
they all have 60 trim turbos with .63 ar compressors and either .48 or .63 stage 1 turbines depending on the model (so basically the same specs as the merkur)

Re:turbo choice
Since we're speaking about trim, can someone give a little information on how to find out what your trim is. And what "A/R" actualyl means and it's effect to the turbo?
Currently, I have a TD05H from a 92 Talon TSi. I've search Google and what not, but can't find any "specs" per say, about this turbo.

Re:turbo choice
its a .63 ar on the intake side as well on the 86-89 t3's with 60 trim compressor
the exhaust wheel is a .63 i just had a guy check for me the other day, he looked inside the exhaust flange and it said .63. according to the wheel size he gave me its a stage 1 wheel turbine. so if you wanted any old .48 trubine housing will bolt up if the .63 spools too late
