if your vacuum source is off the compressor, then put a vacuum T and let it vent to atmosphere. :)

holy ---- dude. how was the desert?

here was my old HM boost controller. it was pimped out by kevin. 100% home depot made. just a simple T with a barbed fitting on 2 ends and a bolt stickin out the top. I think there was a ball and a spring in there as well...but its pretty dam simple.

yo sinner, you didn't even return my PM on HT about my interest in your boost controler and here you go trying to pump your ---- on this guy, who is looking for a cheap MBC. ---- off! You and your ";D" emoticon trying to look all cute.

To the original poster: if you're running low boost, a homemade spring/ ball bearing set up will work just fine. It shouldn't cost you no more than $10-12 to make from your local hardware store.

I made an open loop EBC that uses a solenoid out of a Saab. Boost is mapped to rpm so I don't get the typical 1psi drop off up top.

whatever happened to the guy who was gonna build the homemade ebc's with tuning capability. i remember that thread seems like it died off and now theres nothing going on. Would be nice.

I dont recall you PM on HT, but if you read the original post about getting the details from forum.tullostech.com, there is no way for me or anyone else to miss your post on the purchasing forum. So far everyone is happy with the controller and I have a few left. Since I 'lost' and your so pissed I'll contact you to see what went wrong.

Thats me and TullosTech EBC hasnt died, We have our own forum to discuss details. There are many prototypes fully working in IW and EW cars.

The 2.0 version will be release around January, it no longer homemade looking. It will have a 2 digit display with digital push buttons instead of the old style analog knobs. The new case is aluminium compared to the old plastic case. It comes in black or silver colors.

Basically the project is going great! Losts of great feedback and I happy with the progress and the people helping testing are great. I plan to sell kits for the 2.0 version. The 1.0 only comes built(because they are all made).

It's very simple to do open loop boost control, I just used the megasquirt based hardware I already had in the car and added some software to do a PWM duty cycle based on a read out of a linearly interpolated table. The table is RPM vs throttle.

The desert wasnt to bad. Hot as balls but the chow was good. I see what every ones BC looks like but i dont understand how you know how much boost your allowing... or have i just been in the desert to long and forgot something easy?

you forgot something easy. the heat gets to you like that.

bacually, if I remeber right, your gonna run the stock boost that the 'gate is set at. then to INCREASE the boost, you just turn that screw in, which turns your boost up. then I had that lock bolt on there that secured it. you just kinda gotta ---- with it to get it where you want. adjust it, go rip on it, adjust it, go rip on it, almost blow your motor, adjust it, go rip on it some more.....and I wouldnt recommend doing this without a boost gauge. :S

hmmm the ALmost blow your motor thing happened to me befor, except yea i did blow it with forged internals and darton sleves.
