Turbo Automatic
I have a '90 Integra RS automatic awaiting my return in florida. The transmission has about 5000 miles on a $1,400 rebuild. Too scared to boost it and break it. So I either do the swap to a cable tranny or just find another car to play with.
Hmm... just don't know about that shitty LS automatic transmission.
I am a very firm believer in certain domestic transmissions (4L60/700r4) if properly built.
But this shitty honda "sport shift" transmission. I've been in enough 90-93 accords to tell that it's pretty much the exact same piece of ----.
Hate to destroy a transmission worth so much, either I can find a B20a preulde cable tranny for real cheap and throw that in, or just go out and find another project car (F22a1) to build a turbo on.
Any other suggestions?

quadnie- Its not a "sport shift" transmission.
For the record I have tried to get my friend to swap the tranny but he refuses. I think the tranny can take it as long as he stays with low boost.

Fist thing to do is get the best exturnal tranny cooler you can find !!!
Then look for replacments.
My friend is going to be boost about 6 PSI on his accrod in a few months, then the H22 with come in... Then we'll see how long the auto H22 tranny last on 8-10psi.
