tuning tomorrow. stock y7. 10psi! predict please.
The day has finally come, i have a street tune, but im getting a dyno tune tomorrow at 10psi on my d16y7. How much power do you guys think ill put out? Im running a turbo thats a little larger than a 14b. it's the ihi apexi bb turbo on DSM 450's and tuning with crome. No bs answers like 500whp @ 50psi or anything. no boobies because im at school.

i will never own another one even though with everything that JD found out you could get a decent tun out of them now. just feel safer with the z6.

If you do an OBD1 conversion on a Y8, you will not find 12 degrees base timing with the distributor anywhere remotely near center. This is not a problem, stop making something out of nothing over it.
P2P maps are minimum allowed timing maps, they are most certainly NOT the timing maps you run when OBD1 converted. Take Z6 mappings for NA, set your ignition timing for 10-12 degrees at 10 psi. This will make a decent basemap to tune from, and the engine will likely want more timing in the lower and midrange RPMs, but don't ---- with it until you get it on a dyno.
