Re: TT sbc jet boat vid.
Who's the d-bag that said "Boats shouldn't have turbos" (4:09 in the vid)? That mother ****** should have to swim home. EVERYTHING should have turbos. Especially boats.
BTW, you are pretty damn cool. That thing sounds like a bad----------er when you nail it from idle. All boost, no bullshit! nice. Oh, and the glowing headers are a nice touch!

ive had to move it around my yard, work on it in the damn rain, deal with its parts littered around my garage, get covered in resin trying to patch the hole(s) in the bottom, get sprayed in the face with gas, have to paddle it back to shore when it randomly stops running out in the lake, and pull it off the bottom when it sinks. stupid boat.
its not that boats shouldnt have turbos, kyle shouldnt own a boat that has turbos.

Re: TT sbc jet boat vid.
Those little turbos usually make ~175whp with a 1.6L & good exhaust at that boost level. If you have twin 250whp turbos, a larger motor with no exhaust or intercoolers, I'd guess in the 325-375hp at the CRANK. You could probably hit an easy 450 with 12-15psi and intercoolers, if your rods refuse to fold.

If you wan the floats to last go to a hobby store and get some thin brass rod and silver solder.
Solder a piece diagonally across the floats on each side.
re-adjust the float rise and drop.
they won't crush.
I have built a few blow-throu motors...this always works well.
or styro floats...
