i have a mini me i want to turbo, but im not sure if the compression is to high or not. its a d16y7 bottom end and y8 head. i have a ihi t3,mitsu 1g bov and a starion fmic.lets say if i can trbo it ow many psi can i get away with on pump gas?
i got the t3 off of a 86 ford thunderbird turbo coupe. not sure what the wastegate is set at. is there anyone that can tell me what it is set from the factory?

 

yer cool with that CR. I'm runnin a 10:1 and i'm running 7.5 on 91 with no probs.

 

mini me turbo would kick *** itr's have high compression but still boostable as long as you get some bomb *** fuel managment and tuned youll be fine always run the highest octain on pump gas when force enducted and as for psi there are many variables to think about so i can really say maybe safly 9psi maybe more so dont quote me on that

Once you have it, you want more and more. My JDM GSR has a 10:5 comp and I'm boosting 8Psi intercooled and with Hondata and 440cc RC injectors. So far I've been Pimpin'it without a problem on 93 octane

 

i know all about the addiction of boost, i have a 1g awd dsm with a big 16g at 20psi. but i dont know uch about hondas.

 

hmm you guys think 91-92 octane would be aight, i got a 91 crx si...i believe its 9:1 stock? help?

btw yea i say go for it, you can always start at low boost and get good at tuning

 

I'm boosting 12psi on a 11.4c/r Ls/vtec

Fuel/Spark management is everything

 

if you dont want to boost it, I will buy it.
