Default Traction Bars Done...*Need A Little Help*

Well, while I'm at this job I might as well try to get some fabrication done and I thought that a decent set of traction bars would be a good place to start. I'm having a little trouble finding designs and almost "How-To's" as you could with clutch installs, log manifold fabrication, etc.

Also, I'm not 100% sure how they work. I know they connect on the ears under the radiator and what not, but do the arms extending outward connect to the LCA? Please help me with designs, materials, explanation, and anything to deal with Traction Bars. All comments are appericated.

God-willing, you all help me out (like you have numerous times before ) I should be able to produce a decent, quality product. I have endless supplies to work with and the people I work with would be more than willing to lend a hand if needed. Thank you!

Car is my 98 Civic Coupe.

(I know this is a Fabrication post, but please don't move it due to the **** in there. Thank you. )

Here is my really old write up. I have changed them several times since then. Keep in mind this exact set is still in use on a car that went 10.7's last month!

You know, I was hoping you were going to chime in and help me out. I was hoping between you and JK-Motorsports would be able to give me the exact stuff I need. Thank you though for being so timly. LOL. You NEVER fail and ALWAYS help me out, David. Thanks again buddy.

Now, difficulty and time to do? The only gay part I can imagine is driving my car to work (I ride with Dad) and then pulling it into the warehouse. I'm a little confused on some of the materials like the 1/2-20 Hiem and the 3/16"X1 1/2 angle iron.

How do you get $80 final price with like $40 total. LOL.

EDIT: The LH RH thread, good idea. I'm still having a little difficulty seeing WHAT the other end of the trailing arm hooks to.

Once I cut the pieces it only takes about 20 mins to weld it together and assemble. The cutting is what take the time. Bumble's bars are more involved than mine.

Cool, I'll take in the materials list and see if I can get all that stuff and better yet if they'll let me (Dad works until 4 and I until 30 so I have time afterwards) steal all this stuff. These guys are great, they'll probably help me and be happy all the while. LOL.

I THOUGHT it was something else besides JK-Motorsports, BumbleZC right? Josh. He gave me alot of good information I still have saved about motor swaps (thanks Josh) in my PMs.

Yea, that's not bad so I'll probably run it past them tomorrow, try to get what I can for materials and maybe start early next week. I'll let you know and thanks again.

The CRX bars are structural. I suggest you buy a quality set that are tested and durable. If the crx type breaks it will send the wheel into the back of the wheel well and you off the road. JK's set is awesome for the money.
