Re: Track times. D15. 13's.
Y7 head bumps the compression way up, anyone dogging this setup because it is a D15 is stupid. A D15 with 10:1 compression and a z6 IM is probably making almost what a z6 makes stock so... the D15 argument fails. I'm just impressed you did it with a DX tranny, cuz they suck for sure. Probably could have shaved another 4 or 5 tenths off with an EX tranny.

Re: Track times. D15. 13's.
Nonvtec. I busted my ex trans last week. Couldnt get 2nd gear to go in for over a second. And I ran 14.7 last week with it like that.
So I put in my spare dx. Heres the thing, I hate the dx trans. But theres one good thing about it. TRACTION ! 2nd gear didnt need to be modulated like the ex trans did. Ex trans left me smoking 2nd gear. Id hit 2nd with the dx trans and car would slingshot. Kinda helped me in a way. But with slicks, Ex trans for sure. |
Re: Track times. D15. 13's.
swap the final drive from the ex trans to the dx and you'll get a hybrid EX (the FD is the only diff, i think) ;D

Re: Track times. D15. 13's.
EX/Si
1st-----3.250 2nd-----1.900 3rd-----1.250 4th-----0.909 5th-----0.750 for Si HB and Del sol Si or 0.702 for 2 dr or 4 dr sedan Final Drive---4.250 DX/LX 1st-----3.250 2nd-----1.762 3rd-----1.172 4th-----0.909 5th-----0.702 Final Drive---4.058 so the 2nd, 3rd, and maybe 5th gears are different, not just the final drive. courtesy of Mista Bone's website (http://home.cinci.rr.com/mistab0ne/tranny.html) |

Re: Track times. D15. 13's.
what fuel management were you using?
in my crx dx i did 13.8 @ 99 with a 2.1 60 on street tires with 9psi. full throttle shifting may be your thing but i would never do that to my car, a real driver will shift and drive just as fast as you with letting off between shifts. full throttle shifts are dangerous and careless, for lazy drivers that can't move their feet fast enough imo i guess i believe the times, ive seen stranger numbers, but damn thats fast for that pos motor and fat car btw, its 2005 and you can't scan or get a digital picture of your slips? |
