Volvo turbos use the 'standard garrett' 5-bolt flange. Its the mercedes with stg2 turbines and chraplers that use oddish flanges. You can easily identify both from the ford/volvo/saab turbine setups.
IMO when you get the cash, you should go no smaller than a 57trim t3/t04e if you keep the auto and get good pistons. Torq converter load between shifts = turbo keeps a' spinin.
And then it will go out in style.

the rod caps have a "2" stamped on all four so i guess thats the size of bearings i'll use and plastigage

but for the main bearings what number is the dealer looking for? where do i find it? the only numbers i found were:
2232

and 22333 witch i guess makes more sense
