well finally i took my 14b off today gettin ready to put in my new turbo and i found out that i had major cracks all over the exhaust housing even by the wastgate. the waste gate area was cracked to the point where you can see thru it like all around the waste gate flapper .you guys think this could have affected my performance like slower spool and lost of power and boost ?

 

I would imagine so.

 

haha can u get pics. i dont even see how u still mad bost with the wastegate flapper cracked. i mean you pretty much didnt have any pressure hitting the blade...whats kinda turbo you putting in

 

Any exhaust that made it through those cracks with the wastegate closed would have been spooling your turbo Yet the majority of those turbo's get the cracks and still work ok.

 

yea man, cracks on the exhuast housing is very, very common among 14b's thats sumwat extreem tho

 

every 14 out there has cracked pretty much.

just find another exhaust housing that doesnt have so many cracks.
