Default Timing Question- Does it have to be Zero?

Setup:
D16Z6
14B Turbo
HF Mani
FMIC
1G BOV
450cc injectors
Chipped P28
So,

I have a STR cam gear that is advanced 3 degrees. Do I need to set that back at zero?

I actually used regular plumbers tape on the threads...

It's still there. Not a drip.

Teflon Tape, Plumbers Dope, or Permex Thread Sealant.

If it's realy bad, JB Weld, A lot of my oil lines have JB Weld on them. Seals great, and it is not permenant because the heat and oil make it easy to spin off later. If it is hard, a propane torch does wonders to JB Weld.

Yup, just mix some up and roll some on the threads with your finger. And obviusly try not to block the feed passage while doing it!!, But I'm all of you knew that!

Good luck man. You've got a good looking car there, let's hope you can add a "good running" to the title!

I'm not quite sure your engine/setup but I'd put it back to stock for now. You may be able to achieve a little more power by adjusting the gear/gears later on a dyno but for now putting it back to stock will be safer and probably easier to tune depending on which fuel management your using.
