Hey guys im new to the boards, was just wondering how long it takes amatuers/professinals to fab up a custom turbo kit. Obviously it is not all the same, but a general ballpark would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Well if you spent all your time and money on it probably a couple weeks I suppose. I have been going on mine for about a month and I still have a ways to go.

 

I did mine in a week and 2months to gather parts.

 

I have been piecing mine together for 8 months. I am almost done. Hopefully I can install it during march break.

 

yeah took me over a year cause i was lazy and i researched basically everything. Plus i wanted some expensive parts which took longer to purchase.

 

it mainly depends on how much you know about welding, FI systems, your car, the tools at your disposal and how much money you have to buy parts or pay for install

 

Dang I feel so old having the most seniority in this thread. I took about a year because I gradually scoped out parts. first with the turbo then did all the research I could and that was enough to do it by myself. I feel good when I say I did all the work at more than half the cost of a gay prefabed kit. Im sure it could take as short or long as you wanted, depends on what you want/need to have and time issues.
