Nothing like the feeling of thinking you are going to have to rip the motor apart and then finding out that it was something small and simple all along. That's a much better feeling than the realization that the motor has to come out. lol |

That's actually a pretty common thing on LS heads. I usually re-check valve lash clearances after a couple hundred miles or so...the constant heating up and cooling down on new builds tends to loosen things. Once you've gotten a few thousand miles on the clock they should stay put, but still never hurts to check them every once and a while. ;)

yeah its common for nonvtec heads... you have to tighten the F#$% out of em to keep em from coming loose. i actually had one come completely off once (thank god it landed in a corner and didnt hurt anything).
oh and adding cams makes it worse. |
