Those of you with 14b's

I was wondering what type/kind of air filter most of you guys are using for your 14b turbos? I looked everywhere for a rice filter to use on my setup that was small enough. This was my final choice. Now I really need to redo my charge pipes and hate that filter being there. Any ideas of anythingelse I could do?

Old pic. But the piping/filter is still the same. Sadly. But not for long.

I heard the mushroom filters let a lot of stuff in, maybe I'm mistaken.

Edit: not to mention that's $100 for a filter.

hrm.. I've looked into those before. $100 for a filter, and they dont make it in a small enough size for the 14b I dont beleive. Sucks. :(

The best way to get a filter on the 14b I found was I had one of those ricey covered air filters from autozone, then took the shield off and itworks perfectly cause the filter is shorter and angled sharper
good luck

Re:Those of you with 14b's

my first filter was free, HMT style....

http://www.hondaswap.com/gallery/ima...e3dd0a604f.jpg

so dont hate on me for upgrading to something decent. been there done that. ;D

oh and blind the the black part of the filter itself is not rubber its hard plastic so the coupler just goes over that.

Looks real clean. Where did you get your shiny charge piping from. :o

Actually picked it up off e-bay. Was from a DRAG kit for a CRX with a b16....course we hacked them up and completely changed them so there are sections that are plain old exhaust piping. The right pipe going into the intercooler is now covered with surface rust.

Thanks to both of you. It should be though. Was almost two years in the making, at least getting the parts together and then probably about 4 months of the car being torn apart in my garage last summer.

Filter Schmilter :-)

No air filter on this Beotch, not right now.

Can't have an air filter. There isn't one that fits right and is big enough. Plus it is WAY slower with a filter.

12.96@107 daily driver, filter free :-)
